Lea
Symbols and Numbers
These slides fit into AO Type projectors or
equivalent. They display literate Lea numbers and Sloan Letters and Lea Pediatric Figures in various combinations. Selection criteria among the
three is based mostly on the the number of characters per line (ETDRS etc)
preferred by the examiner.
Slide 320000 (not shown) provides
Lea Symbols
in 19 lines from 20/125 to 20/10 with multiple lines from 20/50 to 20/10 and
Sloan Letters in 20 lines from 20/400 to 20/10 with multiple lines from
20/50 to 20/10.
Slide 320100R provides 5 characters per line
(ETDRS
format) where space permits. It uses logarithmic progression and
proportional line and character spacing. Slide 3201 shows the Lea numbers in
17 lines from 20/10 to 20/125 with two lines at 20/50, 20/40, 20/32, 20/25
and 20/20 and the Sloan letters in 20 lines from 20/10 to 20/400 with two
lines at 20/50, 20/40, 20/32, 20/25, and 20/20.
Slide 320500R includes Sloan
letters, Lea Numbers® and
Lea
Symbols. It shows the Sloan letters from 20/16
to 20/125 with two lines at 20/40, 20/32, 20/25 and 20/20. It shows Lea
Numbers® from 20/16 to 20/125 with no duplicate lines. The
Lea Symbols are
shown in 10 lines from 20/16 to 20/125 without any duplicate lines.
Slides 320400R and 320600R show
the Sloan letters from 20/16 to 20/400 with two lines at 20/40, 20/32, 20/25
and 20/20. 320400 has the Lea symbols in 11lines from 20/16 to 20/200
without any duplicate lines.
Slide 320600R employs logarithmic progression,
fixed line spacing, and up to 10 characters per line where space permits.
Slide 320600 shows the Lea numbers in 11 lines from 20/16 to 20/200 without
any duplicate lines and the Sloan letters in 17 lines from 20/16 to 20/400
with two lines at 20/40, 20/32, 20/25 and 20/20.
Slide 4681R provides multiple lines of each Sloan
optotype to eliminate risk of memorization. Each line has 4 letters and one
number with three lines for each Snellen value from 20/15, 20/20, 20/25,
20/30, 20/40, 20/50, 20/60, 20/70, plus reduced numbers of letters 20/801,
20/100 20/200 and 20/400 as space permits.
