INCLUDES RANDOM DOT, BUTTERFLY, LETTER 'E', NUMERICAL, AND VARIOUS ANIMALS

This is a versatile new test providing the broadest range of familiar stereo tests in one book:

Random Dot: Provides three levels of depth perception

Random Dot Letter 'E': Includes test letter and a blank for quick stereopsis evaluation

Stereo Numbers: Provide six levels of stereopsis testing from 526 down to 28 seconds of arc

Random Dot Figures: Provide three levels of results.

Suppression Targets: Multiple targets included

Fixation Disparity Targets: Included

ESO and EXO Binocular Rings: Included

The Multi-Target Stereo test can be used for study, testing and training of Binocularity, Stereopsis, Visual Attention, Form and Depth Perception, Suppression, ESO and EXO. The Richmond version includes a pair of high quality reversible red/green anaglyph glasses with metal frames for years of use. In random dot stereograms, form and depth perceptions are based solely on the retinal disparities created in the intact binocular vision system. Correct responses will be voiced within seconds.

The test provides several improvements compared to other stereo tests which have been available for some time. A test for stereopsis should be conducted to obtain a qualitative and quantitative evaluation of binocular function, especially in cases of heterophoria, heterotropia and amlyopia. Up until now, most stereopsis tests were designed using crossed disparity, so that a fused image comes out towards the examinee. It has been demonstrated that esophoric patients are more likely to have a greater stereo acuity with uncrossed disparity . The Multi-Target stereo test was developed to test for both crossed and uncrossed disparities using the Red/Green anaglyph technique.

The Multi-Target Stereo test employs the more reliable red/green glasses to provide image separation eye to eye. This test is not dependent on polarizing spectacles which can be quite tricky to use because they must be accurately aligned horizontally with the test book/picture, or there will be leakage of the image in the eye that is not supposed to see the respective image.

The first target is an attractive image of a butterfly. The only image we have not included is the Fly which does not elicit pleasant responses from most young patients.

Disparities (in seconds of arc):

Butterfly - 2000, 1150, 700

Numbers - 526, 227, 128, 66, 41, 28
