The Neitz test of color vision provides a
practical method to screen large groups of children or adults for color
vision deficiencies. It was developed by the well known color vision expert,
Dr Jay Neitz of the Medical College of Wisconsin. This test has been
clinically tested for accuracy and provides nearly identical results to the
Ishihara tests. It identifies the type and severity of color deficiency
using non-professional administration.
The test uses shapes similar to the HRR Pseudoisochromatic Plates
permitting administration to illiterate and pre-literates. To prevent answer
copying, there are three different test sheets. Compared to the Ishihara
test, this test is easier to score, requires no training to administer and
can be used with illiterates and younger children. Discounts available for
quantity orders.
