Easy Carry Handle
Each of the color tests listed recommends
daylight or equivalent for proper illumination. This includes Farnsworth D15,
100 Hue, SPP, HRR and Ishihara, for example. The bulb gives off
6280 degree K light which closely matches the standards set by the International
Commission of Illumination. The Daylight bulb has been the subject of
numerous color vision testing studies (see list below) and has been the
recommended light source since the MacBeth Lamp became unavailable. The Daylight
Illuminators have been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the
U.S. Defense Personnel Support Center for the armed forces and provide a Color
Rendering Index (CRI) of 94 as recommended in various clinical studies and the
National Research Monograph.
Daylight illumination has been found to be very
important for acquired color vision defects (such as Plaquenil screening) and
critical occupational applications. Consistency of lighting from exam to exam is
very important in detection of drug interactions. Further, the use of daylight
has been found to be very beneficial in stereopsis, and visual acuity testing.
The illuminated area is approximately 22" by 8" (55 cm by 25 cm) CE
Marked.

Flat Tray
Model
Flat Tray With Test
Our
redesigned Flat Tray illuminator comes with a removable Flat Tray. This permits
easy installation of an easel for testing with Pseudoisochromatic Plate books
(available separately). The Flat Tray is specifically designed to be used with
Color Arrangements tests such as the Farnsworth 100 Hue, Farnsworth D15 and
Lanthony Desaturated D15 tests or any other arrangement tests.
The
color disks are spread out for the patient to arrange under the prescribed
daylight equivalent illumination. The light and tray are made of non-glare ABS
plastic for long term durability. The tray is removable and measures 22" by
6" (55 by 15 cm). Includes convenient hand hold for ease of transport,
light switch and 4 ft cord. The 220 volt version is furnished with voltage
converter.
Easel Model with HRR
Our redesigned Easel illuminator provides the
proper angle for Pseudoisochromatic plates. The easel helps avoid damaging
fingerprints on the plates because the plates are presented standing on their
own. The easel is removable for installation of a Flat Tray in order to use the
Illuminator with arrangement tests. Includes convenient hand hold for ease of
transport, light switch and 4 ft cord. The 220 volt version is furnished with
voltage converter.
Note: 5141R Easel and 5142R Flat Tray come with
Velcro for easy mounting.
Use 5141R Easel only with 4757R, 4758R, 5139R and
5140R Illuminators
Use 5142R Flat Tray only with 5137R and 5138R
illuminators
5142R Flat Tray is the same as the bottom tray
which comes with the FD100R kit.

HRR Illuminator
Replacement Bulb
This bulb delivers the 6200ยบ Kelvin that is
recommended as a light source for the HRR Pseudoisochromatic Plates and other
screening devices. The bulb provides 25 watts of illumination and uses 110
volts. It fits in any standard florescent type desk lamp that accepts a 18"
bulb.
