Very young children can be tested with the HOTV tests
which uses the matching method. Charts are available for use at 10ft, 12ft,
16ft, and 20 ft distances. The HOTV test method will determine visual acuity
accurately at a young age. To the illiterate child, these four letters are
objects that they can easily recognize such as a square hold or a round peg in a
round hole. The HOTV test set comes complete with a 10" x 18" vinyl
chart, response channel, four flash cards and instructions.
